Educator Licensing Information
BWS employs individuals who hold the following types of Utah educator licenses, license areas, and/or endorsements:
- Professional License: A standard license issued to educators who have completed a Utah-approved program or transferred an out-of-state license and met Utah’s licensure requirements. Valid for 5 years and renewable.
- Associate License: A temporary license issued to individuals working toward a professional license through a university-based or alternate preparation program. Valid for 3 years.
- LEA-Specific License: A temporary license issued and approved by the local school board under Rule R277-301. Valid for 1–3 years.
